Privacy Policy
The waitlist asks for one piece of personal information: your email address.
This notice explains how Fynda uses email addresses submitted to its private-beta invitation list.
Who is responsible
Fynda is an independent project in development. This notice covers its private-beta invitation list.
A dedicated Fynda privacy contact is being set up before public launch.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we record your email address, the date and time of your consent, the version of the consent notice, and the part of the site where the form was submitted. We do not ask for your name, phone number, postal address or payment information.
Why we use it
We use your email only to send your beta invitation and essential messages about accessing and testing the beta. This list is not used for newsletters, advertising or unrelated marketing. Your email is not sold or shared with advertisers.
Legal basis
The legal basis is your consent. The notice beneath the email field explains that you will receive your invitation and essential beta updates. Submitting the form with “Join the waitlist” records your agreement to receive your invitation and essential beta updates. You may withdraw your consent at any time. A dedicated contact channel will be provided before public launch.
Where it is stored
The waitlist is stored in Fynda’s Supabase project. Supabase acts as a technical service provider. Access is limited to the people who need it to operate the beta. The waitlist database is hosted in the European Union, in the Ireland region (eu-west-1).
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist data until you withdraw your consent, or for a maximum of three years from collection or your last voluntary contact with Fynda. We then delete or irreversibly anonymise it, except where a short record is needed to respect an opt-out request.
Your rights
To request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your data, a portable copy, or withdrawal of consent, use the dedicated Fynda privacy contact, which will be available before public launch. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the CNIL.
Cookies and analytics
We use Umami Cloud to measure page visits, referral websites, approximate location, device and browser information, button clicks, scroll depth, viewed sections and active reading time. Analytics are stored in the EU region with a six-month retention period on our current plan. Our analytics integration does not send names, email addresses, form contents or personal visitor IDs, and does not link analytics to the waitlist. URL query strings and fragments are excluded, and referral URLs are reduced to their origin. We do not enable session recordings, advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Browsers with an enabled Do Not Track signal are excluded. Active time is an estimate based on a visible page and recent interaction; it cannot show whether someone actually read a section.
Changes
Material changes will be dated on this page. If a change affects the purpose for which your email was collected, Fynda will request fresh consent where required.
